Signage and civic designing for a 1500 acre operating SEZ involved site mapping and configuring the environment on simple principles of way-finding, traffic, provisions for amenities.
A key identifying element is the “rangoli”, incorporated as a cultural identity in each system of signage and civic design.
Study of the flora & fauna, weather & climate, temperatures, humidity, traffic density (people and vehicle), physical & psychological factors, materials etc. were important considerations.
